Monitoring the trends of living conditions in 10 rural regions
in Senegal

TEMPORAL AND SPATIAL MAPPING OF COMMUNITY LIVES AND LIVELIHOODS IN SENEGAL

This project monitored 10 rural regions all across Senegal.

Quantitative and qualitative Information was gathered from direct connections with correspondents over the territory; ongoing trends in weather conditions, water availability, malnutrition, markets, loans, and livestock were reported from Mars to September 2021, and their impact on how people thrived was assessed during the following months.

We were involved in conceiving and developing several infographics sets in 2 languages, an explicative video about the data and how to read the visuals, and a description of the brilliant pool risks mechanism SN has invented.

This was the central piece of the research, an indented visualization organized by focus, area, and spring-to-summer months of 2021. The situation and trend (reported by local correspondents) was assessed and visualized through the use of typical and quickly-recognizable citylight colors.
